(Cypress, CA)– Today, Orange County Board of Education Member Dr. Ken Williams officially announced his support for Dr. Alexandria Coronado’s campaign for the 65th Assembly District.
“The voters of the 65th District need Alexandria Coronado representing them in the Assembly. Her focus on public safety, and her commitment to education, are sorely needed in Sacramento,” said Dr. Williams. “Dr. Coronado will be an outstanding addition to our state legislature. As an educator and policymaker, she is well-suited to bring the necessary attention to the serious education issues facing California. I expect her to be an important advocate for parents, teachers, and students in Sacramento.”
Dr. Williams was first elected to the Orange County Board of Education in 1996 where he represents the 3rd Supervisorial district of Orange County on the board. A physician, educator, and university clinical professor, Dr. Williams has focused his time on the Board of Education on public safety and safe schools, high academic standards, and a “back to basics” approach to education.
“I am honored to have earned the endorsement of Dr. Ken Williams,” Dr. Coronado said. “Ken has dedicated his life to improving the health and education of the people of Orange County. His endorsement and confidence in my campaign is greatly appreciated.”
This valued endorsement follows that of Orange County Supervisor Michelle Steel, Congressman Rohrabacher, former Assemblywoman Young Kim, the Orange County Republican Party, and Assemblyman Matthew Harper. Dr. Alex Coronado is the former President of the Orange County Board of Education. She served as Treasurer for the University of Southern California’s Thornton Alumni Association. As a former Member of the Council of Urban Boards of Education Board of Directors, Dr. Coronado is committed to providing opportunities for the future of California’s 65th District.
