David v. Goliath: A Win by Coronado Could Break California Records

By November 5, 2018Uncategorized

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIF. – Today, Dr. Alexandria Coronado released the following statement regarding her bid to represent California’s 65th Assembly District.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank the thousands of supporters that have rallied behind our campaign.  Your support has meant the world to me, and my family, and this David v Goliath campaign could not have been competitive without you.

For the past several years, I have watched self-interested politicians create harmful policies that have negatively impacted our state. Their hypocrisy and failed leadership have led to higher crime rates, an increase in homelessness, and harmful regressive taxes that are crippling middle and lower-class families. And it hasn’t stopped there, my opponent’s heinous voting record with regard to criminal justice policies have handcuffed our police officers and protected sexual predators. Not only have her campaigns been funded by high-profile sexual predators but she has also voted to silence children who were victims of sex crimes.

This ends tomorrow.

Despite being outspent by over $1.5 million dollars (most of it including special interest money), I am happy to report that it is still anyone’s race and I predict we will see victory on Tuesday. No more will we let selfish, Sacramento politicians determine the future of our communities. No more will the safety of our children be put at risk for petty party politics. This Election Day we will take back our state. Thank you for your support and I’ll see you at the polls! ”
